I was in San Francisco last week and naturally there are a lot of large company HQs there in our target account list.
It’s always incredibly difficult to break through the noise with large enterprise clients, so we decided to take prospecting to the next level.
This play is thanks to the Sales Rebellion and Dale Dupree. IT WORKS!!
It took about 3 hours of planning/logistics and we already booked a $500K opp and are working on a few more.
It’s the donut box play.
So here’s how it works + a few epic fails and some learnings:
We found 10 target accounts with offices in downtown San Francisco.
I found one of the most popular donut shops in SF “Bob’s Donuts” and got a bunch of empty boxes and gift cards.
Walked around to 10 offices and attempted to deliver a box like this to our target person (with a little humor and twist)
